It can also be used to calculate the kinematic motion of a faulty planet gear tooth. It is important to note that fault-mesh motion is not instantaneous, and therefore, it requires a sufficient amount of time to fully mesh a faulty planet gear.
The load-share factor is similar to that of spur and helical gearboxes, and can be used to calculate dynamic load sharing.
